I think most of the people might be unaware of the name spidigo. It is so called ISP providing wired and wireless internet connections in a big cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, etc.

I used their wired broadband connection for about 2 months and I have to say this was the most pathetic time for me to stay connected. It can go down at any moment. I think there are very few employees handling all the work of spidigo so you can guess it is useless to dream about getting SUPPORT in case of failure.

While pinging, any website, even when the connection isn’t facing any problem, it keeps giving Request Timed Out frequently. Transferring files through FTP was a nightmare. I have to deal with uploading and downloading via FTP every now and then so you can guess how hard I would have suffered.

Whenever I tried to reach customer support, they (HE – I think there was only one person) responded with the only answer : let me check out your connection and I will call you soon. Believe me, I never got a call from there side.

And the worst case happened 2 weeks back. Internet was down for almost days. I was working on website projects of my client and I wasn’t able to connect for days. I called hundreds of times but it couldn’t make any difference except decreasing my mobile balance.

Finally getting fed up of all the problems I requested to give my money back for the remaining month and cut the connection. I was astonished to hear the reply of customer care. He said there is no rule regarding giving money back and closing internet connection at the middle of the month. And to more surprise he said spidigo is also paying someone (I think tata indicom) for bandwidth in advanced so they can’t give me money back. Lol……….

So guys, if you are about to get spidigo internet connection then please beware you might suffer like I did. I never liked to spread negative message for anything but the way I was treated made me write this because I don’t want others to leap into same trap.

    Spidigo is one of the worst company I have seen, they are big liers.

    They are making people fool nothing else, and one of the example is me.

    When I called a sales person of spidigo, they told me we are providing internet connection within 15 days for the plan of 1 month.
    I asked him to make connection as early as possible, he told me that I need to get connection for 6 months if I require it in urgency,
    He asked me to pay rs 4050/- for 6 month plan at speed of 256 kbps. I have strictly made a clairfication with him regarding plan change from one plan to another, he told me that I can chang plan anytime and adjustment will be done. I have made my payment through cheque and got connection within 2 days happily.
    Now after a month they have declared a new plan with 256kbps at daytime and 512kpbs at night time with just rs 2700/- which is almost 66% of the price I have given to the company. I called my sales executive to change the plan from my existing plan to this plan and extend it in the months for my remaining adjustments. At this time whole the team from spidigo is refusing me to change my plan.
    I was very amazed to hear the sentance like ‘Sir you can not change the plan’ from the sales executive to which I have given my payments and who promised me that I can change my plan anytime.
    To confirm whether the executive is saying lie or not, I asked my friend to call him rates and then for plan changing, he has made call on loudspeaker and asked him for change he told the same sentance to him that ‘you can change your plan anytime’ :)
    My friend also made call to customer care division for the same clarification, they also told like same.

    On both the calls from my friend’s cell after his discussion, I picked and ask for my adjustment, but then also they refuse me for that.

    In short they all are lier and no one will require more proofs than this.

    I am heartily request all the reader of this content please please please dont use Spidigo unless and until you want to become a fool like me.

    Hello,

    I also have had a similar experience as Penuel here. I will write “beep” at the end of every “lie” they have told me :)

    We got the one year plan of 256 kbps daytime (“beep”), 512 kbps night time (“beep”) for Rs. 4545 and the salesperson promised us that Skype and VoIP calls will work perfectly fine at this speed (“beep”), even better than with some of the leading broadband providers (“beep”).

    We were unaware of the reality of this fraud company, and since their offer was too good to be true, we fell into their trap.

    So we got the connection as promised within 2 days, but right on the first day, which happened to be 31st December, 2009, our VoIP phone wasn’t working properly and we had bad voice quality and the voice was breaking if someone was surfing the net alongside. So right on the second day, we called their head office and registered the complaint, and some stupid engineer came to our place and did a few emails and said “It will be taken care of soon”. We waited for the whole day, but lost our patience, so the next day morning, we went to their corporate office and submitted a cancellation request (we live just 5 mins away from their corporate office so that was a good thing). The person in charge told us that their Accounts Dept was closed till the 5th of January, so we told them to sign a copy of our letter and give us the refund as we had not used their connection. We were told we would receive our refund in 8-10 days.

    At the end of the wait, we tried calling them since morning to talk to the same person who signed our letter, and he wouldn’t even come on the line or call us back. In fact, they had somehow blocked our number on their phone so we constantly got a busy message. So we again went to the office to get our money back.

    Again they started their excuses, but fortunately for us, one of their company’s key Investors was present there when we went to fight, and he intervened and hence we got our money back, else I am sure our outcome would’ve been the same as Penuel.

    So my sincere appeal to everyone who is listening and reading this… PLEASE DON’T FALL PREY TO THIS FRAUD COMPANY… THEY ARE CLEARLY THE WORST INTERNET PROVIDERS IN INDIA !!

    And as responsible citizens of this company, we must not let these frauds survive!!

    mittal keep it going….. i completely agree with you, all i can say is they are having a hard time to shut your page down from google, and till now they have bloody failed to doing so. SPIDIGO doesnt care about the clients grivences, all they know is just make money and bloody cheat, the entire upper management is just sitting out there reading this text and still doing nothing…. pathetic peice of shit…. bloody loosers to the core….

    I thought i was the only one who is facing the problem. I got the day 512 kbps and night 1 mbps unlimited plan. from 12th jan my plan was activated. on day 1 i was very surprised with the speed they served me. From the very next day i started facing loads of problems. I’ve never had such a bad internet connection speed ever. I’ve experience with every internet provider in the Ahmedabad. but this has been a nightmare. every 30 minutes the internet gets logged off automatically. so if you’re in the middle of a download u will have to re do it. the worst part is that my torrent download graph keeps going like a rollercoaster. :( . i’ve called them serveral times but their is hardly any response. their technical staff visited once my place for the issue. but i figured out that i knew more than what he knew in case of internet. i got my reliance internet terminated and paid for 6 months in advance to SPIDIGO (defiantely the worst internet provider) . If i ask for refund than i will have to pay 1000 bucks to reactivate reliance. my hopes have started to lose and its now difficult for me to keep patience. Can i make legal issues with the fraud company..?? waiting for an reply from any samaritan

    **NOTE** –i’ve been using internet since 6 years and i’ve never written negative reviews about any internet provider. :(

    It seems competition is getting sleepless nights and so they have started maligning the name of Spidigo. I have been using it and it has been working fine even in the remote areas of Ahmedabad city. It is a very good internet connection and works at a very good speed. So please let me tell you that all the above cases are of ” Grapes are Sour” Spidigo Please keep up the good work you are doing. I have given more than 5 references adn all of them are working fine

    ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS SPEED, I am completely gobsmacked; how these buggers (SPIDIGO) can call their connection a “BROADBAND”? When it’s speed is even lower than a dial up connection. I had a BSNL dial up connection 4 years ago which use to give me better speed than this godforsaken piece of shit. I am on a 256 kpbs pack but I get speeds of 14-18 kpbs upload & download wtf***. I am so bloody pissed at the guy who got me to sing up for this fcuking connection.

    There is no meaning of any complain to the provided emails. They bluddy rascals come to you only when there is a matter of their collection.

    I hate spidigo and even some of their sales represntative meet me anytime I will slap on his face.

    yes i feel the same, this is the reason these people force us to buy yearly or half yearly packages. Bloody Spidigo monsters. Monster is quite a diplomatic word. Atleast monster are nice 2u sometimes . These people are horrible blood suckers.

    and search for spidigo or CRY Fi. you find a news for legal case.

    Here I am not able to paste the link due to some technical limitation of this blog tool. but requesting you to check that news before paying anything to those lier.

    That’s strange, I’m using the service from November 09 and I find it very good. It do got network outage sometimes but I think no body in India market provide 100% uptime guaranty, right.

    Before that I was using reliance broadband and it was also a good ISP but in spidigo I was able to use internet on my desktop, my laptop and my iPhone. it do provide wireless service which run very good on the laptop and wi-fi enable phones and if you’re looking to run desktop wireless then you do need a router to run it and you can purchase it at extra cost.

    I was considering the new tata proton plus and reliance device for my wireless needs but it’s too costly and they don’t have unlimited plans. plus it cant run on iPhone for that i have to subscribe with my phone plan.

    Even in service i never get problems. when i installed a new connection that time in my terser some children were try to damaged it and so i got slower speed so i called spidigo guys and they come to my place and see the situation and moved the installation to another place which was to high and do need extra wiring. they installed it well and didn’t take a penny from me for extra wiring. both guys were good and gave three to four hour dedication. I remember in reliance they did charged me for every extra foot. so b’coz spidigo i can use the internet from anywhere in Ahmedabad.

    As far as customer support cancers yes whenever i call they do provide me assistant and if any technical assistant is not there then thy take the complain provide me a complain id for tracking and do call back. sometimes do happen that i didn’t get a call so again i called up there for reminder and sometimes if the problem is from there side then they do solve it. it was the same thing that i got in other ISP like reliance, TATA (BSNL is worst) and ya don’t relay on emails, phone would be the best option.

    Another thing is they do not outsourcing bandwidth they just outsourcing the technology from http://www.strixsystems.com/ which provides all the technology support.

    Another thing to watch is what type of system are you using, because of that speed may break and if you read all companies brosher they all wight upto, that’s b’coz it’s depending on your system too. just run a http://www.speedtest.net/ and you’ll come to know how much speed you’re having right now.

    I suggest that before taking the connection you should consult that how much near the tower is from your place as far is the strength could be lower.

    Seen you guys having problem I think I’m lucky b’coz as of now i didn’t got any major problems, except some network outage which is comma in all ISP.

    @SpidigoHater thank god that you got your refund I closed my reliance broadband in November month and just two das ago i got my refund. I was thinking to go to in consumer court but thank fully i just got it now. According to TRIA rules any company have to provide the refunds to the customer with in 60 days of the cancellation date.

    @Raj you’re right there is a new plan where you just need to pay plan change fee and you can migrate to new plan. i don’t know why you’re not able to do it. i was able to do it and with in 48 hours they gonna changed the plan. do contact them again. Any yes you can cancel your service any time you ”ll get your money back. whatever month you use, just minus it from your payment and the remain can get as refund.

    well….at first i got lured into d lucrative offers dey provided……
    the first day i was like mindblowing services and i thought dat dey were probably d best rite nw (dat was atleast 7-8 months ago!!!!) but dey coudnt hav proved me wrong in any worse way…..d very next day itself d conectivity was on an all time low and d speed was like killing…..even dial up connections would give better speed den dey gave….
    as many as 5-6 calls per day wer made by me 2 der office…..but in vain….
    dey did sum refreshment and dat day it would go fine but d very next day d same problem…
    so fed up by dis i asked dem to change d device and dey came 2 my house d next day….
    and to my WILDEST surprize……. der tech person was asking me wer d towers of spidigo wer!!!!!!!!
    sum how he did manage to install it….
    but d problem prevailed…..
    and den i thretened sum guy named SUNNY hu is der chief official to disconnect my service….
    d very next day they changed my device and i found out dat der techs ver taking connectivity frm atleast 2 kms ayaw while der tower was onli in my adjoining appartments……
    thankfully 2 GOD nw im getting gud uniform speed and connectivity….
    i had opted for 2mbps speed and initially d speed i got was rediculous……but nw i get an average speed of around 1.80-1.90 mbps usnig http://www.speedtest.net
    i might be 1 of those very very very few lucky ones hu either got refund or huz connection is working very well……
    in almost 3-4 months time my package would be over and i dont think dat i EVER am gonna take spidigo again in my life even though it might be d last broadband connection in my life!!!!!!!!
    due to them my phone bills in d past months were almost doubled up…..
    every second number i dailed was of ders onli…..
    i think we guys should do sumthing legally so dat dey know wad it is to play wid der CUSTOMERS!!!!!

    I got Spidigo for the amazing speeds they promised. But, right from the first day the problem started. The Login Client wouldn’t open and the speeds were mediocre. One of their agents came over and installed something but it was not compatible with windows 7. After almost a week, a miracle happened and the login page opened. The speeds were excellent too. But after 3-4 months, the speeds turned average and the download speed was around 20 kbps. I am very disappointed with this company. The downloads speeds on utorrent are always rapidly fluctuating.
    Do not buy!!!
